Privacy Policy

Page Raven is a Chrome extension that sends web articles to your Kindle or Apple Books. It is built to handle as little information as possible: there are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking of the sites you visit.

What Page Raven handles

The article you choose to send. Page Raven only reads a page when you click its toolbar button. It pulls out the article’s text, title, author and web address and turns them into an e-book file (EPUB) inside your browser. That file is sent over an encrypted connection to our sending service, which emails it to your Kindle address. We don’t keep the article on our servers after it’s sent. If you choose Apple Books instead, the file is simply saved to your computer and nothing is sent to our service.

Your Kindle email address. You enter it on the extension’s setup page. It is saved in Chrome’s extension storage (and synced between your devices if you use Chrome sync), and it is sent along with each article so the article can be delivered. We don’t keep a list of addresses.

Daily sending limits. To prevent abuse, our sending service counts how many articles are sent each day for each Kindle address and each internet connection (IP address). It stores only a scrambled one-way code (a cryptographic hash), never the address itself, and deletes these counts after one day.

Services we use

• Cloudflare runs our sending service. Like any web host, it processes technical information such as IP addresses and keeps short-lived logs for security and troubleshooting. Cloudflare privacy policy
• Resend delivers the email. It processes your Kindle address, the article title and the attached file, and keeps delivery records under its own policy. Resend privacy policy

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell your information or share it for advertising.
• We don’t use it for anything other than delivering the articles you send and preventing abuse.
• We don’t track your browsing. Page Raven does nothing on a page until you click it.

Page Raven’s use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Permissions the extension asks for

• activeTab and scripting: to read the article on the tab where you clicked the button, only at that moment.
• storage: to remember your Kindle email address.

Your choices

• Uninstalling Page Raven removes your saved Kindle email address from Chrome.
• You can remove send@getpageraven.com from Amazon’s approved email list at any time, which stops all deliveries from Page Raven.

Children

Page Raven is not directed to children under 13.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
